These Speckled bantams are a not a recognized breed in the APA or ABA standards, however they are an extremely rare landrace, once common on small farms across Kentucky. We got our start when we lived in Kentucky and have been breeding them for several years. The hens get more white as they age. Males will sometimes have red streaks in their hackles although we have bred away from this in our flock. Pictured are a young pair and one of the older breeding pens to show the difference. There is a wait list to get these.
